Double Island Point is a spectacular landmark on the Great Beach Drive from Noosa to Rainbow Beach. A lighthouse is perched atop the rocky outcrop, built in 1884. DI (as the locals know it) is home to the longest right hand surf break in the southern hemisphere - about 700 metres! It's an aquatic playground for kayakers and wildlife lovers, with dolphins and whales (in season) putting on an amazing display. The Double Island Point is an absolute classic for those looking to relax in crystal clear, safe swimming waters. The best way to see this Sunshine Coast spectacle is on a 4WD tour or self-drive.
